The man. The music. The legacy.
BRAD JORDAN.
SCARFACE.

01 / The origin

Before the legend,
there was Brad.
He grew up on Houston’s Southside, in South Acres, making records before most kids his age were thinking about careers.
Recording as DJ Akshun, he put out a single that got him signed to Rap-A-Lot and into the Geto Boys — the group that made the world listen to Houston. He took the name Scarface, and he made it his own.
Solo, he became the writer other writers study: unflinching, funny, haunted, honest about the things most rappers won’t say out loud. The Diary went platinum. The Untouchable went to number one.
He ran Def Jam South, signed Ludacris, and in the middle of it made The Fix. Three platinum albums, three gold, six top-ten albums, a memoir — and a voice that still sounds like the truth.
The Scarface standard
UNFILTERED.
UNCOMPROMISING.
UNTOUCHABLE.
